The process of in camera editing contains a lot of things that you need to be aware of. Once you've finished shooting your piece, you cannot edit it using a compositor! (Final Cut Pro for example) so we had to match our plan our shots accordingly and run a few rehearsals before actually shooting the piece. We planned our idea and mapped out what is the basic storyline is, then we found a location and started experimenting with ideas of what is going to happen where and when and also how it is going to work. We made checkpoints when we were rehearsing. For example, Kameron and Omid would stand in a certain point after they said the checkpoint line, or done a checkpoint move (for example, Kameron picking up the vouchers). I then ran around them with the video camera to capture a different shot and angle also giving them the signal to start acting again.
The positives of in camera editing is that it's a fast and quick process if you know what you're doing and if everyone understands what they need to do. That makes runtime a lot faster and there is less stress involved.
The difficulties of in camera editing is that you cannot swap around the video clips in order. You will have to shoot in order to get it right.
If I were to improve the video in editing, I would simply make Kameron trip in realtime and then add the slow-motion effect in the compositor. Also, I will make sure every frame is in focus and use the Auto-Focus when doing a lot of quick cuts and close ups.

In Camera Editing Technique
FIGHT OVER VOUCHERS is the name of our piece.
We used a combination of different shots and styles with our piece. Though there was a totally of 3 different shots altogether, we used a variety of techniques. For example, over the shoulder, quick-pan, shot-reverse-shots and '2 shot'. We used close up shots and establishing shots to set what the whole thing is about.
Our piece is quite comedic, as it is intended to be. We intended to put a lot of suspense and tension into it by quickly changing the shots and keeping the pace fast.
